Patch Adams,infamous laughing doctor from fame near and far, comes to Big Mike's!
A group of doctors and followers of Dr Patch Adams are involved in bringing the good doctor to Costa Rica to raise funds for victims of the earthquake of 8 January 2009. He will be meeting with different groups and concerned medical personnel to raise funds and awareness of the victims of this natural disaster. He arrives 7 feb for meeting at the children museum and then an evening here at Big Mike's for a dinner party in his honor.
Guests are welcome.The Tickets are 30,000 colones per person. A vegetarian based menu will be offered as well as bocas before and a wonderful dessert. Coffee and iced tea will be included.

They will take your checks and cash donations and help "DR Patch distribute these Funds for the good and assistance of the earthquake victims.
Dr Patch will be touring the devastated area.
The fund raising event at Big Mike's will begin around 6 pm with bocas and beverages
and then move into a dinner buffet around 7:30 pm

Wow! Dr. Patch Adams! What was he like? I've seen the movie and know that he is from West Virginia. It's great to hear that he is still working hard to make a difference around the world.
